Grooming

The grooming needed for the Brussels Griffon depends on wether it has a smooth coat or a wire coat.  Smooth coated dogs take very little grooming.  They just need to be brushed and bathed on a regular basis.  Wire coated Brussels Griffons need alot more brushing to keep on top of tangles.  A professional groomer is used by most people who own a wire coated Brussels. Regular maintenance such as trimmed nails and their ears being cleaned is required for all Brussels Griffons.   As for exercise, they should be walked everyday.  A short walk is all that is needed.  Brussels Griffons are overall healthy dogs but do sometimes face problems in their later years such as cataracts and a weak bladder.
